Nursing Program Manager

Summary Description:
The Nursing Program Manager is a full-time, administrative position that reports to the Dean of Nursing and works closely with the Associate Dean and nursing faculty. This role is responsible for supporting and facilitating clinical placement coordination in partnership with designated staff, ensuring placements are organized efficiently and student needs are met; overseeing student compliance and documentation systems; coordinating assessment and reporting processes; and providing high-level administrative support to ensure the effective functioning of the BSN program.

Primary Job Duties:
  • Support the oversight of clinical placements for eight clinical courses by:
    1. Assisting in developing and tracking required School Affiliation Agreements with clinical partners.
    2. Supporting the recruitment and assignment of clinical instructors from WP faculty as well as clinical supervisors from community partners and referrals.
    3. Communicating and coordinating with ACEMAPP/consortium and other clinical partners as needed for questions, capstone placements, and updates for specific clinical sites.
    4. Coordinating the distribution and collection of student clinical site assignments and related documents for filing.
    5. Monitoring ACEMAPP credentials for WP and students, helping ensure deadlines and compliance topics are addressed through emails and meetings.
  • Partner with upper-division students on degree completion planning and process, developing initial degree plans, and completing grad checks as required.
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate new student orientation sessions for incoming BSN cohorts, in collaboration with the Dean, Associate Dean, and faculty, to ensure students are fully prepared for program expectations and clinical requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date electronic student records, including licensure requirements, onboarding documents, and progression tracking.
  • Support the Department of Nursing by creating course schedules, students’ weekly calendars, and various clinical rosters.
  • Communicate regarding, and address where able, faculty requests for course and clinical needs.
  • Attend all relevant Department of Nursing and related meetings, coordinate agendas as needed, and document minutes.
  • Coordinate all Nursing Advisory Council meetings, which include coordinating agendas and delegating minute-taking.
  • Contribute to the support and implementation of the University Strategic Plan.
  • Participate in Warner Pacific University professional development opportunities.
  • Adhere to University policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems and initiate and implement projects independently
  • Ability to multi-task with accuracy and work effectively in order to adapt and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Expertise working with diverse populations
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office programs and databases
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree and/or minimum of five years of experience in a higher education environment
Physical Demands – Work Environment: 
The position is located in a typical office environment. Professional/business casual attire is required.
