Summary Description:
Develop and maintain relationships with students, school district administrators and teachers, and work with student records and data. Provide administrative support to the Education administration department. Part-time position at 20 hours per week. Benefit Eligible.
Primary Job Duties:
- Support the placement process for student teachers and program completers/graduates-fully licensed in ensuring alignment with program requirements, and district objectives.
- Create records, track progress, and report status of teacher candidates from program admission, clinical placements through licensure and placement as teacher of record.
- Coordinate the mentorship program for fully licensed teachers placed as teachers of record for three consecutive years.
- Coordinate mentorship matching process, pairing teacher candidates with appropriate mentors based on their needs and goals.
- Support communication between students, faculty advisors, and school administrators to arrange suitable placements and mentorship pairings.
- Maintain up-to-date records of student placements and mentorship pairings, including location, mentor teacher information, and evaluation feedback for students.
- Coordinate orientation and support to student teachers prior to, during their placements both in the clinical and placed as teachers of record as fully certified teachers, including guidelines, resources, and expectations.
- Support orientation to cooperating teacher and university supervisor mentors prior to and during their mentor assignment, including guidelines, resources, and expectations.
- Support associate dean working with school districts and partner institutions to secure diverse and enriching placement opportunities and mentorship pairings for student teachers.
- Monitor the progress of student teachers throughout their placements and mentorship experiences, offering guidance and assistance as needed.
- Gather feedback about placement and mentorship experiences from students, mentors, and school partners to enhance the effectiveness of the program.
- Stay informed about trends and developments in teacher education and internship programs, integrating best practices into placement processes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines related to student teaching placements and mentorship assignments.
- Collaborate with career placement office to assist teacher candidates.
- Contribute to the overall success of the teacher education program through participation in meetings, committees, and special projects as assigned.
- Assist with Title II. Grant and TSPC reports.
- Collect, organize, and report student data needed for the grant.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have any combination equivalent to a bachelor’s degree preferably in education, special education, Educational Administration, or any teaching credential
- Ability to multi-task with accuracy and work effectively in order to adapt and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- At least two years of experience in a project coordination role
- Experience/training in Teacher Education Programs
- Experience working with diverse populations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited higher education institution
- Knowledge of TSPC rules and regulations
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
- Experience in grant funded projects

The position is located in a typical office environment. Professional/business casual attire is required.
