Summary Description: The Director of Assessment and Institutional Research is a full-time, benefit eligible position reporting to the Vice President for Academic Affairs. This role is responsible for conducting evidence-based research on the university through the collection, analysis, publication, and evaluation of data for continuous improvement of programs, and for accreditation documentation. The Director of Assessment and Institutional Research is also responsible for support and leadership of the assessment of academic programs and support units of the university.
Conduct evidence-based research on Warner Pacific University.
Prepare analyses of the critical functions and practices of the university.
Provide leadership over external and internal data collection including IPEDS
Propose recommendations based on data for improvements in the practices and policies of the institution.
Assist in building and maintaining data visualization tools (Power BI) for access by various departments.
Work across the university to streamline data collection, reporting, and access.
Maintain oversight of the assessment functions of the university including designs and data requirements for meeting standards of the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), the accrediting agency.
Assist in writing reports and documents for NWCCU and other accreditation, institutional research, assessment, or curriculum-related reports.
Provide leadership in assessment planning across the institution through various committee work, including as committee chair.
Assist employees with assessment planning and implementation of annual plans and data collection.
Contribute to the support and implementation of the University Strategic Plan.
Assist with data collection and evaluation for university grants
Participate in Warner Pacific University professional development opportunities.
Adhere to University policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience with statistical analysis.
Experience with computer-based communication, statistical, survey, and document-processing software.
Experience using and maintaining data visualization and analysis tools (Power BI/Tableau)
Ability to formulate, direct and maintain plans related to institutional research and assessment.
Experience in higher education, particularly related to research or assessment issues
Masters Degree in related field
Experience working with diverse populations.
PhD in related field
Previous experience in institutional research and assessment
